With them is Chuck Sollazzo, president of the Girls' Club board. Taylor was honored for helping the club obtain workers from the Campesinos Unidos program in the county".

"Betty Dawson (standing) is the instructor for a four-day class in secretarial training at the La Jolla Indian Education Center. Twelve Indian women are in the class and....they will be prepared to seek employment in the North County area. A federal grant made it possible for the program, first of its kind in Southern California. Envelope includes a photo of a cat sitting in the classroom.
