With them is Chuck Sollazzo, president of the Girls' Club board. Taylor was honored for helping the club obtain workers from the Campesinos Unidos program in the county".

"Physically handicapped tots get physical and occupational therapy at the California Avenue School in Vista Unified School District. Tots to age 4 are no now served by public schools are being sought for the County's federally funded Home-Oriented Preschool Education (HOPE) program". "Betty Dawson (standing) is the instructor for a four-day class in secretarial training at the La Jolla Indian Education Center. Twelve Indian women are in the class and....they will be prepared to seek employment in the North County area. A federal grant made it possible for the program, first of its kind in Southern California. Envelope includes a photo of a cat sitting in the classroom.
