She ordered the dress more than 70 years ago from a Sears Roebuck catalog and wore it to a special OES function earlier this year."

"Ruben Abrica leafs through a book of famous people written in English as he mentally translates it into the French language. He hopes to become very proficient in French during a year abroad as a student at the University of Montpelier, France. Abrica is a 1968 EHS graduate."

"Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scholten leaf through a special edition of Collegiate Challenge, a magazine put out by Campus Crusade for Christ. The young couple are pictured on the cover of the magazine and will be working for the next two years for the crusade. Their first year will be spent at the University of Texas."

"Chester Deaver, Master of the California State Grange, cut the first piece of cake at the recent 34th anniversary celebration of the San Marcos Grange. His wife (right) accompanied him to the affair held in San Marcos Grange Hall, more than 90 state officers and grangers from throughout the state attended". "Jane Conway demonstrates how a pilao is used in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. A pilao is a pepper crusher and the one she brought back as a souvenir is made of jacaranda wood, her favorite. She recently spent seven weeks in Brazil."

"Bryan Breidenthal strums a cuatro which he brought home to one of his brothers following his trip to Caracas Venezuela this summer, Breidenthal was an American Field Service student to the country for 10 weeks."
