"Lt. John Jensen of 1942 S. Broadway, Escondido, barks an order to his men aboard a tank at National Guard headquarters at Fort Irwin, apparently unimpressed with their pride in target accuracy. North County men are (from right) Larry Jones of Leucadia, George Miller and Ted Matzen of Escondido. The men wind up two weeks training Saturday at the desert base."
