Scope and Contents
Library holdings are three issues. Underground tabloid style newspaper with local content and reprintings. News, events, reviews, interviews, cartoons. Regualr columns were published in the paper, including:
- Eyesight for the blind: folk and blues column
- HIPpocrates by Eugene Schoenfeld, M.D.: The HIPpocrates column went by various similiar names in the paper (Hippocrates, HIP Pocrates, etc.) and was syndicated out of the Berkeley Barb. HIPpocrates was a physician who authored a column about medical issues of importance to readers
- Krome Kollector Kazoo: S.D. Folk & Blues Scene by Lou Curtiss: Music column focused on the local folk and blues scene.
- Movies: Movie reviews.
- Shop Scene, The, by Virgina Curtiss: focused on stores and shopping in Old Town San Diego.
- Swinging Scene, The, by Suzy: a column for the polyamorous set, affiliated with the Sexual Freedom League.

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open for research. Access to fragile originals is restricted when access copies are available. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest. The Teaspoon Door was a bi-weekly underground tabloid style news publication out of San Diego, California. It was created rom the merger of the San Diego Door and Good Morning Teaspoon.
