- August 29, 2006. Correspondence from Karen Underhill to Carlene Barnett, with Protocols contributors cc'd. Email from Underhill introducing Protocols and asking endorsement of Protocols from the American Indian Library Association.
- May 20, 2007. Coresspondence from Dr. Lotsee Patterson to the Protocols contributors with Karen Underhill cc'd. Email details plans for presentation at IILF5, with list of countries of origin for indigenous librarians participating at the forum. Email also mentions the national Tribal Librarians conference in Oklahoma City, October 2007, and plans to ask for endorsement from the American Indian Library Association at the American Library Association annual meeting, June 2007.
- May 21, 2007. Listserv question and reply from Monique Lloyd and Kathleen Burns, on AILA listserv. Query and answer regarding role of non-indigenous archivists working with Native American archival and artifactual materials.
- February 27, 2009. Timothy Powell to AILA listserv. Query for protocols related to sound recordings for grant project, "A Digital Archive for Recordings of Endangered Native American Languages."
- February 19, 2010. Print-out of Protocols website sections "Laws, Ethical Codes, and International Declarations" and "Bibliography."

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest. Please note that Special Collections and University Archives observes all campus holiday closures as noted in the Library Calendar. For more information, please send an email to archives@csusm.edu.
