Scope and Contents
"Students in summer classes at Lincoln School got their model airplanes set for a recent balloon-boosting contents under the watchful eye of Ben Sasnett, instructor. Sasnett began a club at Miller School, where he teaches year-round, whose members have built and flown model planes after school and on Saturdays since January. Boys pictured (from left) Jamie Clark, Wayne Simmons, Anthony Capone and Robbie Smith, are learning to fly planes they built from scratch during summer classes, with balsa wood bodies. Crashes are frequent, and repairs are daily routine." Conditions Governing Access
The Dan Rios papers are currently undergoing processing and are open for research. The department has internal documentation over what is in individual envelopes and can search for people, places, and events from 1968 - 2001 in advance of any visits so that we can ensure we have materials on hand for researchers.
