"Janet Gibbs, Miss Poway Valley Riders, gets help from attendants (from left) Cheryl Moore, Debbie Christensen, and Donna Schutz as she and her horse, Bobby, plan for Pow Wow Days and the PVRA national horse show on Labor Day weekend. This is the first year the horse club has selected a queen. Miss Gibbs and her attendants, who also include Debbie Slocum, will present trophies at the horse show as well as competing, and will ride in Pow Wow Days parade. Parade entries are being accepted at Poway chamber." Envelope contains similar images as well images of riders at "Poway Valley Rissers Assn. Horse Show" signage.

Conditions Governing Access
The Dan Rios papers are currently undergoing processing and are open for research. The department has internal documentation over what is in individual envelopes and can search for people, places, and events from 1968 - 2001 in advance of any visits so that we can ensure we have materials on hand for researchers.
