Scope and Contents

Folder contains materials relating to intern Kathleen Herlevic. She interned at Pala Library. During the course of her internship, she created, compiled, and distributed surveys about the Pala Library, and then later compiled and analyzed the data. Folder contains a copy of the official Pala Library suvery, as well as a handwritten draft of the survey. The survey asked patrons questions regarding access to the libray, hours of operation, library activities and services, etc. Folder also contains letters of correspondences between Biggs and Debra Hansen regarding Helevic's work performance at Pala. Finally, folder contains Herlevic's final internship report, “Special Studies, Kathleen Herlevic, San Jose State University.” Her final report outlines the survey project and discusses the results from the data.

Conditions Governing Access

The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
