Scope and Contents

Folder contains materials relating to intern JoAnn Greenberg who was a student of SJSU's School of Library and Information Science and enrolled in an internship for LIBR 294 course. She interned at Pala library. During the course of her internship, developed an annotated collection of Native American books for possible library purchase and set up a database in InMagic cataloging module. Folder includes a draft of Greenberg's Pala practicum, as well as the "Site Objective and Assignments, LIBR 294" document, which describes the purposes of her internship. Folder also contains email correspondences between Biggs and Greenberg regarding the onboarding process, updates and progress reports regarding the cataloging projects, and internship evaluations. Two letters are also found in the folder: one from Dana LeBrun (Program Assistant, Escondido Adult Literary Services) to Doretta Musick regarding the Goals Assessment and List of Recommendations for the Pala Library; and another from Bill Fisher (SJSU, School of Library & Information Science) to Biggs regarding completing an evaluation of Greenberg's internship work. Folder also contains three copies of Bigg's internship evaluations of Greenberg: two are handwritten, and one is typed.

Conditions Governing Access

The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
