Folder contains materials relating to intern Jennifer Harbster who was a student of SJSU's School of Library and Information Science and enrolled in an internship for LIBR 294 course. She interned at the Pala Library and Pauma Library. While interning at the Pala Library, she worked at the Learning Center, catalogued materials, answered reference questions, checked out materials for patrons, workred in youth services, weeded out materials. While interning at Pauma, she weeded and organized the collection in the storage shed/the older part of the library. She also set up shelving and made recommendations for the library. Folder includes emails between Biggs and Harbster regarding the onboarding process for the internships; updates on Harbster's final journal project; and using Biggs as a reference for her job hunt. Folder also includes an email exchange between Harbster, Biggs, Muisick, and other regarding Harbster being hired at the Library of Congress. She was hired to work on a digital reference project called the Collaborative Digital Reference Service. Folder also includes documents such as, “Daily Journal: The Learning Center: Pala Reservation, Pala California and Pauma Library, Pauma Reservation, Pauma, California” and “Recommendations for Pauma A’Aalvikat Library, August 1, 2001, Jennifer Harbster, San Jose State University, MLIS Candidate.” Folder also contains the “Evaluation of Practicum by the Site Supervisor, School of Library and Information Science, San Jose State University, LIBR 294, ”which was completed by Biggs for Harbster; in addition to Harbster's resume, and a photograph of Harbster.
