Scope and Contents

Folder contains materials relating to intern Girija Karamcheti. Karamcheti interned at the Pala Library. During the course of her internship, she weeded books and catalogued books and videos in InMagic. Folder contains correspondence between Biggs and Karamcheti regarding the onboarding process, establishing her Karamcheti's internship schedule, and scheduling internship check-ins. There is another email correspondence between Biggs and Karamcheti regarding introducing Karamcheti to Irene Wickstrom and Liana Juliano, the previous Pala interns who would be "passing the baton" to Karamcheti. Folder also includes a "Pala Library Intern Calendar--Fall 2003;" Karamcheti's "Pala Library Intern Journal--Fall 2003;" and the “Practicum Application Form, LIBR 294” form, completed by Karamcheti.

Conditions Governing Access

The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
