Scope and Contents

Folder contains materials relating to intern Annie Robertson who was a student of SJSU's School of Library and Information Science and enrolled in an internship for LIBR 294 course. She interned at the Pala Library and the Pauma Library. During the course of her internship she catalogued materials at the Pala Library and established the Children's program and Children's Collection at the Pauma Library. Folder contains mostly email correspondences between Biggs and Roberston, including the first set of correspondences where Roberston expressed interest in the internship program, and other emails regarding the onboarding process. There are other emails between Biggs and Roberston regarding Roberston's project updates, as well as emails chronicling Roberston's first storytime events at the Pauma Library. Finally, there is an email exchange between Biggs and Elizabeth Martinez (SJSU) confirming that Robertson's evaluation had been received. Folder contains other documents, such as the “Evaluation of Practicum by the Site Supervisor, School of Library and Information Science, San Jose State University, LIBR 294”form completed by Biggs for Roberston; and the “Practicum Daily Log, Pauma and Pala Library, Fall 2004” document.

Conditions Governing Access

The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest.
