Scope and Contents
Folder contains materials relating to Becky Munoa's career at CSUSM. Folder contains emails between Biggs, Munoa, and Gerardo Gonzalez regarding establishing Munoa's internship with Biggs. There is also an email between Biggs and Munoa regarding recruiting local students for enrollment at CSUSM, in addition to an email between Biggs and Carol Bonomo (Director of Legislative Affairs and Special Assistant to the President) regarding speech preparations at an Indian symposium. Folder also contains a copy of the "California State University San Marcos CSU Volunteer Identification Form” for Munoa. Additionally, folder also contains documents from when Munoa applied for the Tribal Liaison position at CSUSM, including her application's cover letter and resume, as well as letters of support for Munoa for the position written by Dr. Joely De La Torre, Bonnie Bade, Jocelyn C. Ahlers, and Biggs. Folder also contains other materials relating to Munoa's time at CSUSM, such as a letter from Jorge Haynes (Senior Director, External Relations) thanking Munoa for her assistance and participation at the 30th Annual California Conference on American Indian Education 2007; and a retirement card from Munoa to Biggs. Folder also contains miscellaneous documents, such as a memorandum from Vicki L. Golich to Emily Cutrer regarding the proposed tenure hire in Native Studies; the “Access to Higher Education Planning Meeting Agenda, Student/Parent Empowerment Workshop, April 2007” document, including Biggs’ handwritten notes; the “K-12 Student Academic Preparation and Outreach Programs” booklet; the “Cal State San Marcos FY 2007-2008 Budget Call/Strategic Funding Request Division Detail Worksheet; ” and the “California State University San Marcos Division of Academic Affairs AY 2006-2007” document.

Conditions Governing Access
The collection is open for research. Some materials have been restricted because of FERPA or concerns with Personally Identifiable Information. Select items/Contents have been reformatted and have digital access copies. Access to original [audio tapes, video recordings, etc.] is restricted; researchers may request viewing copies. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest. Biographical / Historical
Rebecca Munoa is a CSUSM alumna and interned with Bonnie Biggs at CSUSM. Munoa aided Biggs with Tribal Liaison duties and activities. She is currently on the Native Advisory Board at the university.
