"Driver loses glasses in wreck", 1970-09-20
Scope and Contents
"K.D. Cameron, 1914 W. Mission, Escondido, searched for his glasses following a two-car collision at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Highway 395 Saturday which sent one woman ot the hospital. Cameron was the driver of a southbound station wagon which hit a sedan driven by Sverre Svendsen of 159 E. 10th Ave., Escondido, who was turning east onto Fifth Avenue from Highway 395. Cameron was alone. With Svendsen was his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bergstrom, 143 W. 8th Ave., Escondido. Mrs. Bergstrom is in fair condition at Palomar Memorial General Hospital. Bergstrom and Mrs. Svendsen were treated and released."

Conditions Governing Access
The Dan Rios papers are currently undergoing processing and are open for research. The department has internal documentation over what is in individual envelopes and can search for people, places, and events from 1968 - 2001 in advance of any visits so that we can ensure we have materials on hand for researchers.
