Magazines, newsmagazines, and zines

CSUSM Special Collections serials include newspapers, newsletters, magazines, and other regularly and irregularly published titles relevant to North San Diego County and its constituent communities. Additionally, this collection contains materials such as handbills, ephemera, and booklets published by San Diego serials publishers. Materials span from 1907 to present day, with the bulk of materials spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s. Titles held by the library include San Diego and San Diego County newspapers, newspapers geared towards specific communities, military newspapers, underground newspapers, chamber of commerce publications, newsletters from nonprofits or published to assist specific communities or inform around focused issues, and magazines.
