Collection consists of documentation gathered by California State University San Marcos University Library employees during the pandemic and repopulation of campus. Most documents are related to the university's communication and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional documentation related to county, state, and national communication and policy around the pandemic are included.

Collection includes CSUSM telephone directories, directories, directory updates, and marginalia for California State University San Marcos. Additionally, collection contains supplemental college directories for select years.

The California State University San Marcos University Library oral histories collection consists of oral histories collected by the university through various means, starting in 1989 and continuing to present day. Oral histories include interviews of campus and community members relevant to our service region (north San Diego County, southwestern Riverside County, and to a limited extent the rest of San Diego County.
