As seen in the morning light, with its sharply etched shadows, the trenches make interesting geometric patterns into the brown soil."

"Chester Deaver, Master of the California State Grange, cut the first piece of cake at the recent 34th anniversary celebration of the San Marcos Grange. His wife (right) accompanied him to the affair held in San Marcos Grange Hall, more than 90 state officers and grangers from throughout the state attended".
