"The photographer deliberately blurred the action in Escondido High School gymnasium Friday when more than 1,700 students registered for the spring semester opening today. Teachers and counselors were present from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist in selecting required courses. Similar scenes took place at Orange Glen, San Pasqual and San Marcos schools to raise total registration to more than 6,400."
