What Are We Going To Do With All This Future?, 2021-05-10
Scope and Contents
I woke up one Sunday during a pandemic with the soul so heavy I'd swear the ghosts of all the women I used to be were laying on top of me. When I finally got to pep talk them into letting me go, I tried to do as functional humans do, shower, get dressed, and get busy. Unfortunately, I was that sad and overwhelmed that the only things that seemed to be entertained were my mind and my heart. Who knows what is going on anyway? I needed fresh air that would shake my hair and my thoughts away. I took my bike and went for a ride, trying to get as far away as I could be from the things that hurt and I could not understand (and still can't, but that is okay). Let's try not to figure out everything at once, I said. Turns out my plan did not go as I thought it would and instead, I ended up facing the never-ending adventure of getting to spend too much time with myself. Yikes! I took this series of photos trying to portray the self-realizations and thoughts that would come up after spending some time in nature, and that would help me get through these crazy times, hoping they would help someone else as well.
