The aim is to keep us connected, by sharing not just work and university updates, but to also share personal experiences, updates on our families, movies we watched, or just how we are feeling. Our daily huddle, and chats on Teams, are our "virtual hallways", where we would have spontaneous conversations.

During the pandemic I’ve taught zoom lessons for students aged 4-11 from this very spot. A student once asked me how it felt to be a librarian without her library. I told him it felt like a piece of me was missing, but once I had a book in my hand and little faces in front of me it felt right.
