Members of the Escondido Historical Society will be at the park beginning at 11am Wednesday to take registrations and assist those attending in getting together with old friends and a bit of reminiscing." Today nine-story Palomar Memorial Hospital rises on the site. Mrs. Donald Driese, the former Romilya McGrew, holds a picture of the hospital and Mrs. Everett Peet, nee Mary Rockwood, displays a photograph of the old hotel. Mrs. Driese was among the younger generation present at Wednesday's old-timers picnic at Grape Day Park. Mrs. Peet was among the oldest there. More than 150 others were present at the reunion."
