One brochure for Socialist Workers Party candidate, Leslie Ann Dork, in the 1974 State Senate campaign for California's 38th district. Six-panel brochure, 3.75 x 8.5 inches.
This brochure lays out the candidate's position on U.S. imperialism in Southeast Asia; civil rights in the armed forces and the Kitty Hawk sailors; opression of women; student and teacher control of schools; and Chicano liberation. Last two panels explain the Socialist Workers Party and Young Socialist Alliance, the Socialist alternative to other other candidates in the 38th district race, and how to give to the campaign.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research. The Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room is accessible by appointment only, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4pm. Final requests for materials must be made one hour prior to closing. Please submit requests for archival materials at least 24 hours in advance of desired appointment. Materials requested over the weekend will be available on the following Tuesday at the earliest. Biographical / Historical
Leslie Dork has long been involved in socialist political circles, having served on the editorial board of the Young Socialist publication in 1971, and running for State Senate 38th district, as the Socialist Workers Party candidate in 1974. Dork is currently a Socialist Workers Party campaigner, and a nurse.
